Fall 2022 - Sensorimotor Awareness Modules

A groundbreaking course in kinesthetic education

September 12 - December 8, 2022

This fall Dr. Ted Dimon will be teaching a ground-breaking course in kinesthetic education. Based on 40 years of study and research, Dr. Dimon has developed Sensorimotor Awareness (SMA), a comprehensive course of theoretical and practical study on how the body works in action and how to enhance kinesthetic awareness and control. In this innovative program, you will learn how to observe actions, to coordinate bodily systems, and to become kinesthetically aware as the basis for operating with greater mindfulness, efficiency, and skill. The foundational knowledge this course offers provides new insights for anyone whose work comprises movement in any form to enhance their own practice.

Sensorimotor Awareness Modules will be fully online and will cover the following five topics. Each topic will meet in two-week modules that meet 2 hours per day, Monday through Thursday, 10:00AM-12:00PM EST (with recordings available for those who cannot attend live). Each module will also include optional Developmental Movement, Review, and Discussion classes.

The modules can be taken individually or together as an entire term of study at the Dimon Institute. Please click on each module below to read more about it.
